Title:
Only first terminal is the right size

Status in gnome-terminal package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
The first time after I log in the Gnome terminal comes up 80by24. From
then on any new terminals are 80by22.

This applies both if I use the default default size or if I set a
  custom default size to 80by24.

I would expect all terminals to start the same size 80by24.

Note using Gnome Classic (no effects) window manager.
