I also plugged in the front headphones so I could watch (hear) tv. The
rear still isn't showing which is interesting that 0x24 says it's
present.

  The motherboard speakers and microphone aren't listed under "All
  Settings"->Sound UNLESS I unplug them and then plug them back in.
