Since I also do not get any search suggestions, I suppose I have the
same problem on 15.04.

Bug description:
  It seems that Ubuntu overrides Firefox's DuckDuckGo search plugin with
  a version that doesn't support search suggestions.

  e.g. I receive this file:
  http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~mozillateam/firefox/firefox.utopic/view/head:/debian/searchplugins/en-US/duckduckgo.xml

  While Mozilla already includes their own DuckDuckGo search plugin which supports search suggestions:
  https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/file/bf58b2c55797/browser/locales/en-US/searchplugins/ddg.xml
