Title:
audio and video out of sync when extracting a piece of stream with -ss
and -t
Status in libav package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
The following command:
ffmpeg -ss 00:02:20 -t 7 -i esqueletos.flv -vcodec mjpeg -s 640x480 -qmin 0.8 -qmax 0.8 -acodec copy esqueletos.mov
should transcode a piece of video of a duration of 7 seconds starting
from 00:02:20.
It actually generates a 7 second video, but the audio does not
correspond to the video, as if it was read out of synchro.
Reporting libav bugs on ubuntu is very frustrating, because many of them have already been fixed ages ago upstream in ffmpeg (I have no idea whether this is the case of this particular bug). I wonder why ubuntu uses a fork of ffmpeg which is ages behind in development...
