Status in Ubuntu MATE:
  New

Bug description:
  Fresh install will not allow me to play media files in VLC laucned
  from Caja while browsing a smb share.

  /run/user/1000/gvfs is empty

  
  to resolve this:   sudo apt-get install gvfs-fuse
