  software-center-gtk3 crashed with AttributeError in preparse():
  'NoneType' object has no attribute 'lower'

Bug description:
  Downloaded the Chrome web browser (Deb/ubuntu 64 bit) from the google
  site. Clicked Save; opened the saved file from within the browser
  (Firefox) the software centre opened up automatically and then
  crashed, offering me the option to report. I thought it might be
  helpful to do so.
