I don't see this issue any more running g-s-d 3.1.91-0ubuntu2.
Definitely have restarted.

  Laptop screen dims even when plugged into AC power

Status in “gnome-settings-daemon” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  I have my laptop plugged in to AC power. I want the screen to stay
  bright while this is the case. However, my screen dims automatically
  if I stop typing for about 10s.

  Sorry if this is misfiled. It's my best guess.
