Title:
Regression: Kyocera Mita FS1010 doesn't work properly in Raring
  Ringtail

Status in cups package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
I know this is pretty generic filing the bug against CUPS but I don't
know where the problem lies exactly.

All I can say is, my FS1010 worked flawlessly in Precise Pangolin but
  doesn't in Raring.

I tried printing a document I created in LibreOffice, which contained
images but the result is, only one image is printed and the rest is
  not. Not even the text.

I tried exporting to PDF and printing into a file. No problem,
everything's there in the file. But when I actually print the PDF,
it's still the same issue. It's driving me nuts.

Anyway, I tried printing the file on my netbook, which is still on 12.04 and it works!
Then I made a Precise-bootstick and used it on my main machine. Lo and behold, it works too!

I also made a bootable Raring USB-stick to make sure I didn't screw
something up myself on my install. But no, the bug is there as well.

Something I noticed: the first time I tried printing in LibreOffice on a fresh Raring install, my printer wasn't set-up. It only said "Generic Printer" in the printing dialog.
I could print after setting it up manually via GNOMEs printer config.
I didn't need to do that in Precise.
