Bug description:
  I think this happened when I tried to do security updates with
  aptitude. It probably would not have happened had I done the other
  upgrades at the same time. Is there some way the nvidia drivers can be
  listed as a dependency for the kernel upgrade on systems that have the
  nvidia drivers installed?
