Title:
Too easy to accidentally close tabs with shortcut keys
Status in GNOME Terminal:
Confirmed
Status in gnome-terminal package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Status in gnome-terminal source package in Lucid:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
Binary package hint: gnome-terminal
ctrl-shift-q has a confirmation dialog, but ctrl-shift-w does not and
can be easily triggered for example if you aim badly when doing ctrl-a
(a common key combo in bash and console programs) and also depress the
keys above ctrl and a, resulting in a ctrl-shift-q or ctrl-shift-w,
the latter of which will instantly close your window, causing
interruption of workflow and sometimes loss of work.
Both shortcuts can be disabled thankfully, but I wonder if these
shortcut keys ought to be left off by default or remapped.
Intrepid, with gnome-terminal 2.24.1-0ubuntu1
