Title:
Touchpad disable button doesn't behave properly

Status in “gnome-settings-daemon” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-settings-daemon

I usually have my (hp pavilion dv2940se) laptop's touchpad disabled
because I use a mouse. But when i try to enable it, this happens:

+ Originally: disabled and orange light in the touchpad led.
+ First push of the touchpad button: disabled and blue light in touchpad led
+ Second push of the touchpad button: disabled and orange light in touchpad led, but a "enable" message appears in the tray
+ Third push of the touchpad button: enabled and blue light in touchpad led, and no message.

If i push the button one fourth time, it disables, turn the led to
orange and a "disable" message appears in the tray.

Of course, if i kill gnome-settings-daemon, the touchpad functions
  correctly.
