Title:
xserver causes extreme cpu-load unexpected [Lucid]

Status in nvidia-graphics-drivers package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: xorg

I'm using two nVidia GeForce4 MX 420 graphic adaptors with the same
HannsG monitor model connected. I'ts configured for TwinView with the
nVidia driver an configuration tool. After different periods of time
(sometimes a few minits, sometimes after some hours) the xserver
freezes. Its impossible to switch to a console with ctrl+alt+f1.

After loggin in via ssh i see that the xserver is messing cpu time an
top is showing a load above 4. After killing the xserver, gdm comes up
and everything is fine - till the next freeze.

I cant find anythin in the logfiles nor can i guess if its a special
  action what causes this freeze.
