Title:
Lucid -- Xorg crashes when user is selected in GDM

Status in nvidia-graphics-drivers package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: xorg

Hopefully copying apport files from my laptop succeeded and you have
all the data about that system.

Anyway, on this laptop, X crashes as soon as I select a user from the
  GDM logon screen.

The laptop is unusable. The bug is easy to reproduce and I can perform
any kind of test that you would like.

  Backtrace:

Caught signal 11 (Segmentation fault). Server aborting

Please consult the The X.Org Foundation support
