Title:
No HDMI through NVIDIA graphics card with hybrid Linux

Status in nvidia-graphics-drivers package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
This computer is a Dell Latitude E-series (E6420) and I have been
unable to get HDMI working through to a second display monitor. The
monitor swithces back and forth between recognizing that it's
connected to something and not, while the laptop (running Ubuntu
11.10, Oneiric Ocelot) sees nothing in the monitor pane of the display
panel. This computer has optimus graphics and is using bumblebee for
  switchable graphics.
