Title:
usb storage device hangs boot with NVIDIA driver installed

Status in nvidia-graphics-drivers package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: mountall

  ** Problem Description **
After upgrading to Natty, my system hangs for almost 3 minutes at boot if both of the following are true:
    1) My USB flash drive (Cruzer Micro 8 GB w/ U3) is plugged into a USB port
    2) The NVIDIA binary drivers are installed (nvidia-current)

If I uninstall the NVIDIA drivers and use nouveau instead, I can boot
my system with the flash drive plugged in.

Syslog shows the gap in time that occurs during the boot process which
  ends with a udevtrigger event:

  Apr 29 15:19:12 sulley postfix/master[1381]: reload -- version 2.8.2, configuration /etc/postfix
  Apr 29 15:19:18 sulley kernel: [ 29.845790] eth0: no IPv6 routers present
  Apr 29 15:19:20 sulley ntpdate[2563]: adjust time server 91.189.94.4 offset -0.096431 sec
Apr 29 15:22:03 sulley init: udevtrigger post-stop process (410) terminated with status 1

FYI, there are the only changes I've made to /etc/default/grub:
Added "clocksource=hpet" to the GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT (necessary to avoid timing issues with my motherboard)
Set GRUB_GFXMODE to 1024x768 (otherwise the plymouth text and TTYs are corrupted and unreadable in Natty)

Please let me know if any more logs or info are needed.
