   plymouth booting in text mode

Status in nvidia-graphics-drivers package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Plymouth is booting in text mode. When doing 
  sudo plymouthd
  sudo plymouth --show-splash
  splash is shown properly. I already purged and reinstalled plymouth and grub, but no success. Please tell me how I can provide further information if needed
