  Clutter is darn slow

  Invalid

Bug description:
  Trying both netbook-launcher and the new unity sessions, everything is
  super slow.  Mouse movement, keyboard input, reactions to mouse
  clicks.  The CPU, memory, and hard drive are all not busy.  I assumed
  a clutter issue.
