  my entire desktop stops working if i use vesa

Bug description:
  Feb 22 08:37:19 introspector-desktop kernel: [ 3290.121744] netbook-
  launche[16218]: segfault at 0 ip 0095be93 sp bfcadcf0 error 4 in
  libclutter-glx-1.0.so.0.0.6[8fd000+ab000]

  When i turn on the device vesa in my xorg.conf, the entire ubuntu desktop fails, 
  i have seen this on other computers as well.
