[Bug 643116] Re: Software center hangs between various dialogs

Alan, thanks for this report, and sorry for the very slow reply.
Unfortunately I don't understand what the problem is. You double-clicked
on a .deb file, and USC opened to display that .deb file. What were you
expecting to happen?

** Changed in: software-center (Ubuntu)

Title:
Software center hangs between various dialogs

Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: software-center

I noticed that Software Center sometimes just sits there and doesn't
do anything. I wonder if I have clicked correctly so click again and
  get no response.

  Steps to reproduce.

  1) Double click a .deb - I used key-mon_0.15-2_all.deb from http://code.google.com/p/key-mon/downloads/list but I doubt it matters which deb.
  2) Read the documentation about the package and then wonder what happens if I click the expand triangle next to 'Get Software', then click it
  3) Observe the list and decide I dont want that so try to collapse the triangle again, so click it.
  4) Time passes with no indication that something is happening.

  See screencast attached.
