Title:
complete freeze of Ubuntu after some time using Java, wine, games
  (GL?)

Status in xserver-xorg-video-nouveau package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
Since I upgraded to 12.10, my computer freezes randomly after some time. If I play Minecraft, it freezes after mac. 30min, if I use my computer normally it only freezes after 1 hour or more. I think it never happened if I used Gnome or Unity 2D (if I didn't play Minecraft there).
I can't use the mouse or get into the console with Ctrl+Alt+F1, so I have to manually reboot the computer every time it freezes.
