[Bug 1340673] Re: SIM PIN Unlock Required dialog shows up after every resume
here as well,
I recently reinstalled my system to 14.04.02 LTS,
Lenovo X240 Thinkpad Laptop,
the unlock sim card PIN dialog shows up like described above (randomly?).
network-manager 0.9.8.8-0ubuntu7.1
% lsusb | egrep Eric
Bus 002 Device 014: ID 0bdb:193e Ericsson Business Mobile Networks BV
Lenovo N5321 gw modem
Interestingly this just started since I updated to trusty.

Title:
SIM PIN Unlock Required dialog shows up after every resume
Status in network-manager-applet package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Every time I resume after suspend, I get a dialog from nm-applet
telling that SIM PIN Unlock Required.
I'm running a ThinkPad T420s with a "Lenovo F5562gw" modem, which is
an Ericsson device:
# lsusb | grep Ericsson
Bus 002 Device 005: ID 0bdb:1911 Ericsson Business Mobile Networks BV
The first time I got the dialog, I entered the PIN and selected
"Automatically unlock this device".
Now, every time I resume, I can just Cancel the dialog box, and modem
will work. This appears to be an annoying UI problem more than
anything else.
# lsb_release -v
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
Release: 14.04
Codename: trusty
# dpkg -l network-manager-gnome
network-manager-gnome 0.9.8.8-0ubuntu4
This problem has persisted since at least 12.04.
