Title:
  package nvidia-331 fails to uninstall because nvidia-persistenced is
  still running

Status in nvidia-graphics-drivers-331 package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  While trying to get a proper display without high heat on an Optimus laptop, I installed then uninstalled nvidia driver.
  On uninstalling, apt complained about nvidia-persistenced that was running, and indeed it was true.
  Manually killing the process allowed to finally uninstall the package.
