  "Remember Currently-Running Application" fails to work

Status in gnome-session package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  The "Remember Currently-Running Application" button in "Startup
  Applications" says that the session is remembered when clicked,
  however does not restore the running session next login - the session
  starts blank as normal.
