[Bug 1481294] [NEW] 14.04.3: in kvm install full disk from the i386 install when you go to login it returns you to the login page

STEPS:
1. Grab the latest i386 image from http://cdimages.ubuntu.com/trusty/daily-live/current/
2. Use qemu to create a cow2 image file for hdd
3. Run kvm -m 2048 -hda ubuntu-hda.qcow2 -cdrom trusty-desktop-i386.iso -boot d -vga vmware
4. Do a standard full disk install
5. Up on install close the session and change the command to kvm -m 2048 -hda ubuntu-hda.qcow2 -cdrom trusty-desktop-i386.iso -boot c -vga vmware
6. On the installed system try an login
EXPECTED:
I expect the system to login and display the Ubuntu desktop
ACTUAL:
You type in your password hit enter and the system briefly shows the ubuntu and dots page from start up and then returns you to the login page
