Title:
pidgin crashed with SIGSEGV in start_thread() on login to Ubuntu
Status in pidgin package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
I logged into Ubuntu desktop this morning after shutting down the
machine overnight. When it had logged in a message about Pidgin
having experienced a problem was on the screen. The timestamp on
/var/crash/_usr_bin_pidgin.1000.crash suggests this did happen while
logging into the Unity desktop this morning.
Recent changes including switch to the Skype plugin (instead of the
Skype (D-Bus) one) and setting Skype as a startup application inside
the Startup Applications application. Skype started but did not login
as I had not saved my password into it.
