Message #130899
[Bug 1035472] Re: freezes after booting, won't load programs, or desktop. A background picture comes up (one I chose) then it stops booting. I have to manually select previous ubuntu versions and manually chose 11.04 generic. If I let it boot itself, it freezes. It is a dual hard drive p.c. with windows on the other which is 320GB. My Ubuntu hard drive is only 80GB but I just move/burn things to cd's or move them to Windows if I'm low on space.I have the 11.04 Ubuntu iso on my destop as well as BT5R1-GNOME-64 iso. I also have cherimoya-0.2.2-KEINE-i686 iso.
Natty has expired
** Changed in: gnome-disk-utility (Ubuntu)

Bug description:
I read something about if my grub isn't set to auto boot, I may have
problems, could this be the issue,or does the kernal need updating? I
didn't install the software, a friend did it for me and I'm still
learning about open source etc.
I am using Ubuntu11.04 the Natty Narwhal released April 2011
supported until October 2012.
I don't mind using the generic version of 11.04, I would just like it to boot without me having to manually avoid all other versions, and choosing the 11.04 generic manually. I'm not sure that it's a bug, but I have to start somewhere. the iso's I mentioned are the ones that were first installed before updating. Lastly, I only install the "important security updates", not anything else that is available in the updates when they come around. My Ubuntu set up is pretty simple, Mostly I use transmisssion, google chrome, VLC player
I embrace the Ubuntu philosophy whole heartedly and am an avid believer in open source, it's a shame my I.T. skills aren't as great as your principles. Solutions, feedback, ideas, and time spent on this issue are greatly appreciated, thank you in advance, Kris.
