[Bug 839883] Re: no network icon after upgrade to oneiric
So, after our discussion on IRC, I downloaded the source and built a
package with debug symbols. In gdb, I found it hung here:
2319 ret = gnome_keyring_find_itemsv_sync
(GNOME_KEYRING_ITEM_GENERIC_SECRET,
(in gconf-upgrade.c) and never returns.
I killed gnome-keyring-daemon and then rerun nm-applet. That allowed
the conversion to complete and the nm-applet indicator finally appeared.

Title:
no network icon after upgrade to oneiric
Status in “network-manager-applet” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
after upgrading to oneiric, I have no network icon in my indicator
area anymore. network-manager is running and working (both wired and
wireless), but I can't select networks etc. without an indicator
applet/icon/whatever.
I tried killing and restarting nm-applet, but it simply runs with no
output.
