[Bug 1485224] Re: system settings not available anymore

 

Hello Sébastien; I think it is latest release 14-4, but I cannot use
"About this computer" either. The program you asked me to launch was not
installed. So I installed it: and now it works again thanks!

Probably the cause of my problem is a dependency bug. Some packages were
flagged "obsolete", thus I removed them.

  system settings not available anymore

Status in unity-control-center package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  The sound cannot be modified from the top left hand corner of the
  screen anymore ;

  When I click on "System Settings ..." nothing happens

  I cannot either use "Text Entry Settings ..."

  
  Last thing I remember doing before having the issue:
  I installed Skype with
  sudo add-apt-repository "deb http://archive.canonical.com/ $(lsb_release -sc) partner"
  sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install skype pulseaudio:i386
