[Bug 1489205] [NEW] ctrl+alt+left+up desktop switching doesn't work

Public bug reported:

I filed a new bug as requested in Bug #1108342

ctrl+alt+<arrows> works for up, down, left, right, up+right, down+left,
down+right. It does not work for up+left.

When I filed 1108342 I mentioned that this behaviour used to work in
12.04 LTS. I no longer have an easy way to boot 12.04 LTS on this
hardware to verify that it did work, but that's the most logical release
for me to have installed on this machine when it was brand new.

How do I test for the possible lack of hardware support for
ctrl+alt+up+left?

Thanks
