Title:
fglrx-core kernel module failed to build during fglrx install process
(this makes login impossible)
Status in fglrx-installer package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
I have found this bug after the updating my ubuntu 14.04 with
previously installed fglrx that was working well before this update.
After this update that had included kernel update I have restarter PC
and was unable to login: after the login attempt, system returns to
the login screen.
This behavior is reproducible after the fglrx install in any way: by the installer from the amd site or by the "Additional Drivers" tab.
Looks like the problem is caused by the fglrx-core kernel module build fail that is always reproducible in the install process.
And looks like it is not depends on the fglrx driver version.
