[Bug 959043] Re: Canon PIXMA ip1000 and others (ip1200, ip1300, ip1500-ip1900, ip2200, etc) drivers were removed from Ubuntu 12.04 (Precise Pangolin)

 

Uninstall Procedures
If needed, you can uninstall this program using the Control Panel.
Note :
The steps below are for Windows 7. This procedure may be different for other OSes. 
1. On the Start menu, click Control Panel, and then, under Programs click Uninstall a Program
2. A page will open with a list of installed programs. Double click on the program that you want to uninstall. 
3. Click "Yes" then "OK", this will complete the uninstallation process.

Bug description:
  There are no driver for Canon PIXMA ip1000 printer on the  Ubuntu
  repositories. Tried to find solution in a few forumus (like:
  http://ubuntuportal.com/how-to-install-canon-printer-driver-for-linux-
  ubuntu/ - it drops me "404 Not Found" error, while trying to update
  PPA). Printer was working with M$ OS.
