Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. This particular bug has already been reported and is a
duplicate of bug #1283491 so it is being marked as such. Any further
discussion regarding the bug should occur in the other report. Feel free
to continue to report any other bugs you may find.

An updated onboard 1.0.1 for Ubuntu 14.04 is currently in in the
-proposed repository, see Bug #1289592. I've just tested it (again) and
found no major issues with scaling != 1. If you wait a little bit longer
it will probably enter the main repo too.

In any case you are welcome to get the latest version 1.1.2 from our PPA at 
https://launchpad.net/~onboard/+archive/ubuntu/stable
That one has lots of other fixes and should auto-hide when you type with the Yoga's keyboard.

  Rendering issue when display scaling is set to a value greater than 1

Bug description:
  Occurs on a Yoga 2 Pro (Intel HD Graphics 4400 @ 3200 X 1800).

  Set     All Settings -> Screen Display -> Scale for menu and title
  bars to 2

  Run onboard

  Partial rendering of the top left corner of the keyboard occurs. The
  rest renders as background only leaving the app unusable. Resizing or
  moving the keyboard is also impossible. Does not occur when Scaling is
  set to 1.
