Same problem with Xubuntu 14.04.3. I switched back to the xserver-xorg-
video-ati driver to see if it fixes the problem.

This was while I was still using fglrx:

Bug description:
  Same kind of issue as :  "Xorg memory leak on trusty"

  After browsing a lot (Firefox 31,  Opera 12), after more than 10 hours Xorg uses over 1 GB (some times up to 2 GB). I have 8 GB RAM.
  It seems to me that the system monitor increase the memory leak.

  I'm on Linux Mint 17 (64 bits Cinnamon).
  APU AMD Athlon 5350 (+ driver AMD Catalyst 14.4).
