Title:
IMAP + Filter + Draft + gmail == apparently duplicate emails
Status in thunderbird package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
I use thunderbird with gmail accounts.
I also have a filter set up in thunderbird to move emails with
"to" "contains" <mailing list>
to a folder, <mailing list folder>.
The problem comes in when I'm creating a new email to send to the
email list. For whatever reason, multiple emails are created in the
'drafts' folder during edit of the new email. The filter dutifully
copies each draft into the <mailing list folder>.
When I finish my new email and click Send, it appears that not only my
original message, but also a number of drafts have all been sent to
the list - rather unsettling. In reality only the final message was
sent, but when I click on <mailing list folder> all my drafts are
there.
I guess the solution here would be to not filter emails that are in
the drafts folder.
