[Bug 816344] Re: Setting a very long user name crashes unity-window-decorator

 

As part of the big bug clear up for 16.04 LTS I am marking this bug as Wont Fix.
These types of crasher are better handled by errors.ubutnu.com which can collate similar crash reports to help us identify persitent bugs rather than one-off crashes.

Bug description:
  TEST CASE:
  1. Create a very long user name 
   $ python -c 'print "0123456789" * 30'>/tmp/longname.txt
  2. Open gnome-control-center's 'Users Accounts' applet
  3. Paste the content of /tmp/longame.txt into the name field

  Result:
  The system becomes unresponsive and unity-window-decorator crashes. If it is restarted manually, it crashes again immediately.
