[Bug 1263532] Re: XMir crashes when changing resolution

 

XMir 1.0 (the old Xorg extension) is now deprecated and is not being
maintained or fixed. It is replaced by the new 'Xmir' binary (package
'xmir') introduced in Ubuntu 15.10 wily.

Bug description:
  I am using an external screen with my laptop and the resolution is
  wrong by default. When I try to change it xmir crashes and I end up on
  lightdm greeter. Even worse, the resolution still did not change.
