[Bug 1220652] Re: [xmir] Input devices unusable if booting with two monitors attached

XMir 1.0 (the old Xorg extension) is now deprecated and is not being
maintained or fixed. It is replaced by the new 'Xmir' binary (package
'xmir') introduced in Ubuntu 15.10 wily.

** Changed in: xorg-server (Ubuntu)
       Status: Triaged => Won't Fix

  [xmir] Input devices unusable if booting with two monitors attached

Status in xorg-server package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
  Steps:

  1. Have both laptop's internal screen on and external screen attached during bootup
  2. Try to login

  Keyboard and mouse do not work if external monitor is connected during
  the bootup. A workaround is to detach the monitor before turning on
  the computer, and only attaching it after logging in.

  Switching to VT1 when running Mir has keyboard working. When typing in
  VT1, it gets written in lightdm as well.

  This didn't happen when Mir had the default mirroring mode, but
  started happening when the multi-monitor support landed.
