[Bug 1216468] Re: Mouse pointer lags behind slightly (still using software cursor instead of hardware)
XMir 1.0 (the old Xorg extension) is now deprecated and is not being
maintained or fixed. It is replaced by the new 'Xmir' binary (package
'xmir') introduced in Ubuntu 15.10 wily.
** Changed in: xorg-server (Ubuntu)
Status: Triaged => Won't Fix

Title:
Mouse pointer lags behind slightly (still using software cursor
instead of hardware)
Status in xorg-server package in Ubuntu:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
Using XMir, the mouse pointer visually lags behind my movements,
slightly.
It's been observed that using the upcoming "bypass" branch helps this
a lot. But the proper fix will come later when XMir can use Mir's
hardware cursor.
Prerequisite fix: bug 1204505
