Title:
ctrl+<key> shortcut in do not work with show cursor in certain apps
Status in gnome-settings-daemon package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Problem:
When I enable 'Show position of pointer when the Control key is pressed' in the settings->mouse menu, I can no longer use ctrl-X/C/V in chromium. The showing of the cursor position deselects the inputbox.
Im pretty sure I have seen this behaviour in other apps too. Not only chromium. Except for ubuntu-like apps, they work fine.
Could it be Qt? GTK2?
Disabling the 'Show position of pointer..' function solves the issue
and ctrl-C etc works again.
Reproduce:
* turn on 'show position of pointer...'
* start chromium
* navigate to website with inputbox
* Select text
* press ctrl-c to copy text
* observe text being de-selected
Expected behaviour: Copy the selected text to clipboard
Observed behaviour: Selected text gets de-selected and does not get copied to the clipboard.
System info:
Description: Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS
Release: 12.04
ii chromium-browser 18.0.1025.168~r134367-0ubuntu0.12.04.1 Chromium browser
