[Bug 617441] Re: Missing spacing around groups of items in navigation pane
So I can't see whether that branch ever got merged or not, but this
issue is no longer relevant against the gtk3 ui, so closing it.
** Changed in: software-center (Ubuntu)
Status: Triaged => Fix Released

Title:
Missing spacing around groups of items in navigation pane
Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Ubuntu Software Center 2.1.9, Ubuntu Maverick
1. Expand "Get Software".
What you see: Zero spacing between or around the items.
What you should see:
* The last child item of "Get Software" is closer, to the item above it, than it is to "Installed Software" below it.
* The same extra spacing is present above "Get Software". Ideally, the top of the "Get Software" item lines up exactly with the top of the Back and Forward buttons.
<https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SoftwareCenter#navigation-pane>: "There
should be a gap between each group, and the same gap at the top and
bottom of the list."
