[Bug 1494454] Re: Lock screen on wakeup from screensaver - feature request
xscreensaver has had this feature for as long as I know.
Under power management settings, configure the following to your
discretion:
Automatically lock the session: "When the screensaver is activated"
Delay locking after screensaver for "5 seconds"
Lock screen when system is going for sleep "enabled"
I'm using "Xfce Power Manager" to configure the above.

Title:
Lock screen on wakeup from screensaver - feature request
Status in xscreensaver package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
It would be really good if there could be a way of setting it so that
during the time that the screensaver is on, if there is any
interaction which wakesup the machine happens, for it to automatically
ask for the password like it can do after a set time if set. So that
if the screensaver turns on, and say somebody wiggles the mouse to
wake it up, it requests for the password before it allows them to log
in.
