Message #137580
[Bug 741014] Re: Lenses: fixed size icon view can make some lenses hard to use or browse large amount of items, need alternative views like a List, custom or zoom in/out views to better display results
As part of the big bug review for 16.04 LTS I have tested this on 15.10
and the bug is still there. I think this is a feature request rather
than a bug.

Bug description:
Lenses: different type of views can help with browsing large number of
items.
-List view in particular is very effective and used in a number of
applications including nautilus, music apps and traditional menus
(gnome, kde, windows, mint, etc.). Useful for a number of different
lenses.
-Zoom in and out (show more / less). Zooming out would allow to make
the icons smaller and show a bigger number of results. Default would
be 48px icons like on the launcher for the apps lens. Could be part of
the filters or an alternative view. Zooming In on the other hand is
useful for showing thumbnails of files, pictures, music, video, etc. in
their respective lenses.
-Askubuntu lens: a better view for these type of search results
because of text strings being limited to the size of the icon in icon
view.
