Title:
Unity crashes after suspend: "Number of elements of OptionIDs doesn't
  match OptionNames (18 vs 17)"

Status in Unity:
  Won't Fix
Status in unity package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
Since upgrading to Trusty Unity crashes (and restarts) shortly after I
wake up my laptop from suspend.

  What I do:
  ========

  1) Use Unity, open some programs.
  2) Close lid of my laptop (Ubuntu suspends)
  3) Open lid and login.
  4) Wait approx. 10 seconds.

Expected behaviour: Nothing happens, I can just use my computer.

What happens: Unity crashes and restarts. The last line of the log
  reads

      WARN 2014-05-11 15:25:19 unity{?*} <unknown>:0 protocol-scope-discovery.vala:542: Number of elements of OptionIDs doesn't match OptionNames (18 vs 17)
      Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Attached is the entire log (from running `unity --verbose --log
unity.log`). As mentioned above Unity usually restarts. However if I
run unity from a terminal, it doesn't restart after it crashed. The
output of the terminal is the same as the contents of the attached
file. Only one line is missing in the file: "Segmentation fault (core
  dumped)"
