[Bug 1405327] Re: My computer has an Intel i3 processor and no other inbuilt GPU. However, the nvidia-* latest got installed on the computer during an update process. I used sudo apt-get remove nvidia-* to remove all the nvidia related contents. Post this event, the unity-desktop has stopped working (in its full functionality i.e. the sidebar does not appear) and I am now only able to see the desktop (with the shortcut icons and wallpaper) but not able to interact with it, nor am I being able to open any applications on it. What should be done to restore lightdm to its original functionality? PS: I have already tried the sudo apt-get install --reinstall lightdm
