[Bug 1310380] Re: Xubuntu 14.04 live DVD does not boot

Title:
  Xubuntu 14.04 live DVD does not boot

Status in xorg package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
   When installing 14.04 LTS on an HP laptop PC Pavillion dv6, it boots
  from the DVD, shows the screen with the keyboard symbol at the bottom
  and then the screen goes blank. DVD activity continues for a bit and
  then the activity stops and the laptop is unresponsive.

  Note, the same DVD was used to successfully install 14.04 on two
  different Dell dsktop PC's
