Title:
  GeForce 8800 crash: nouveau DATA_ERROR INVALID_VALUE

Status in xorg package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  I've installed a fresh x64 Trusty 14.04.1 LTS.

  In dmesg I get:
  [ 73.993259] nouveau E[ PGRAPH][0000:01:00.0] DATA_ERROR INVALID_VALUE
  [ 73.993269] nouveau E[ PGRAPH][0000:01:00.0] DATA_ERROR
  [ 73.993276] nouveau E[ PGRAPH][0000:01:00.0] ch 2 [0x001fad9000 Xorg[1014]] subc 2 class 0x502d mthd 0x0284 data 0x0008e6a0

then after a while the screen freezes, the mouse pointer won't move to
the second monitor and Ctrl-Alt-F1 won't switch to the text mode. Only
solution is to switch it off.

The compuer works fine in the text mode.

  It's a dual monitor setup.
