[Bug 1500412] Re: in a fresh gnome-terminal less hides some lines
Oh, sorry, forget my previous comment. Are you really on Ubuntu 12.04?
Gnome-terminal there is known to contain these kinds of display bugs,
these were fixed in subsequent versions.

Bug description:
I perform the following:
1) open new terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T)
2) maximize it (205x58 on my monitor)
3) run less -XSRN ~/1.colordiff (see attached)
4) press end
5) press home
I expect: all lines and their numbers to be shown
I see: lines 14-18 and 21-25 absent
If I press end and home once more or if I exit less and run it once
more, the bug cannot be reproduced.
