Title:
Ctrl-Alt-8 and Ctrl-Alt-2 no longer work when mapped as keyboard
shortcuts
Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
I have a keyboard that doesn't have multimedia keys to control the
volume. I use the machine for development so I mapped an obscure key
combination to control the volume up/down. These keyboard shortcuts
worked with gutsy and hardy. I recently upgraded to interpid and it
no longer works.
I remapped the shortcuts to use ctrl-up/ctrl-down instead as a short
term fix. I'm not sure why they suddenly stopped working.
