Title:
Changing Resolution in Monitor Resolution Settings has no effect
Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
When I launch gnome-display-properties (which is labeled 'Screen
Resolution' in the System->Preferences menu and opens with a window
titled 'Monitor Resolution Settings', three different names for the
same thing!), selecting a new resolution and clicking 'Apply' has no
effect.
I am using Intrepid with the latest updates. I believe I am using the
open source 'ati' driver (but I'm not sure how to find out for sure
since I don't have a xorg.conf file any more). I've attached my
Xorg.0.log file (which seems to show 'radeon', 'ati' and 'vesa'
drivers all being used)
I only have this problem in Gnome, in xfce I can change resolution
fine.
