Title:
highlight background of calc cell hides/crashes unity-2D dock and
  gnome panel

Status in Compiz:
  Invalid
Status in Unity:
  Invalid
Status in libreoffice package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
When highlighting a cell in localc, using current selected background
color is fine, but altering the selection to another color has
recently (some time in the last 2 days) resulted in my unity-2D panel
  closing down.

  Have attempted un-installing and re-installing libreoffice4 (and
multiple reboots). Turned off anti-aliasing as per another recent bug
report here. Problem unresolved. Happens whether I launch localc from
command-line or via GUI double-click of document

Have not attempted to reinstall 12.04 or unity/compiz

  1)	Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS
  2) Installed: 1:4.1.0-0ubuntu1~precise1~ppa1
    Candidate: 1:4.1.0-0ubuntu1~precise1~ppa1

  3) unity crashes removing quicklaunch-type icons. Other aberrant behavior (e.g. changing software sources in package manager was not possible). Hovering over "invisible" unity dock location gives app name in tooltip and the applications can be launched, but icons are missing. Gnome-panel is invisible, does not tooltip on hoverover, but is clickable (including right click menu). Close-minimize-restore buttons (and the rest of the title bar) missing from maximized windows.
  4) no crash of GUI behind calc
